Synopsis

In Martinique, a curse is causing local men to vanish. A group of young friends get together to talk about their relationship with the island.

Biography and Films

Aliha Thalien (Paris, 1994) earned a master's degree in film after attending the Sorbonne University in Paris and then studied art at Beaux-Arts de Paris. Drawing on this background, her artistic practice entwines film, installation and sculpture around memories. In 2019 she directed her first short film, Feu soleil, which was selected at Rencontres internationales du moyen métrage in Brive and La Cabina in Valence. She directed Saint-Yves Prophète in 2020 and Mon amie Moïra in 2021.
