Synopsis

Thoughts ripple over the pages of a personal notebook kept during a stay at different science labs in Zurich. They float from one to another, like a mind map of unfinished ideas on memory, medical imaging, cells and ageing.

Biography and Films

Soetkin Verstegen is an independent filmmaker and animator from Brussels. Her films Mr Sand (2016) and Freeze Frame (2019) travelled to numerous festivals, including l'Alternativa, Clermont-Ferrand, Ann Arbor, Annecy, Fantoche and Animafest Zagreb. She has been a fellow on residency programmes at MacDowell, Akademie Schloss Solitude, Künstlerhaus Schloss Balmoral, ZHdK Artists-in-Labs, Saari and ANIDOX. She freelances on stop-motion productions and is a guest lecturer at LUCA School of Arts, Brussels.
