International Short Film Prize in l’Alternativa Official
Spanish Film Prize in l’Alternativa Official
The jury appointed by the Associació Catalana de Crítics i Escriptors Cinematogràfics (ACCEC) awards a €5,000 cash prize, funded by the festival, for the best feature or short film in the Spanish Film section of l’Alternativa Official. The prize is awarded to the winning director, who also takes home an annual subscription to MyAirBridge’s Pro plan.
DOCMA Feature Film Prize in l'Alternativa Official
The jury appointed by the Asociación de Cine Documental (DOCMA) awards a prize that consists of an annual subscription to the association for the director(s) and producer(s) of the winning film, plus a screening of the film at Cineteca Madrid. This prize is open to all feature films in the International Feature Films and Spanish Film sections in l’Alternativa Official that are either produced or coproduced in Spain and/or have an Ibero-American director.
Don Quixote International Feature Film Prize in l'Alternativa Official
International Feature Films in l’Alternativa Official also compete for the Don Quixote Prize, conferred in collaboration with the International Federation of Film Societies (IFFS).This honorary prize is awarded by an international jury appointed by IFFS. The winning director also takes home an annual subscription to MyAirBridge’s Pro plan.

Cinema Pendent Prize in l'Alternativa Pro
Cinema Pendent awards a €3,000 cash prize to the boldest project with the best production design to help boost its development and help it on its way. This prize is awarded by the Cinema Pendent Selection Committee. It also includes an annual subscription to MyAirBridge’s Pro plan.
Kinolux & Welab–Cinema Pendent Prize in l’Alternativa Pro
The professional film lighting hire company Kinolux and the professional film equipment hire company Welab Professional Equipment award a prize in l’Alternativa Professionals to the shortlisted Cinema Pendent project with best photography. The prize consists of €3,000 in digital film lighting material hire and €3,000 in camera hire for shooting the film within a year of winning the prize.

Río Bravo—Cinema Pendent Prize in l'Alternativa Pro
The professional film trailer company Río Bravo Cinema Studio awards a prize to the most provocative shortlisted Cinema Pendent project. The prize consists of €4,000 to go towards the creation, editing, conforming, colour postproduction, 5.1 surround sound mix, ProRes 4444 file and DCP of the trailer for cinema distribution.
Antaviana–Cinema Pendent Prize in l’Alternativa Pro
The postproduction and digital effects company Antaviana Films awards a prize in l’Alternativa Professionals to the most original and viable shortlisted Cinema Pendent project. It consists of a Digital Cinema Package of the winning film worth €2,500.
Music Library & SFX–Cinema Pendent Prize in l’Alternativa Pro
The Music Library & SFX Prize, worth €1,500, is awarded to the shortlisted project with the best sound and music. The winning project will have access to the entire Music Library & SFX catalogue of music and sound effects, as well as to the 360° music supervision service offered by its Acorde division.
MECAS–Cinema Pendent Prize in l'Alternativa Pro
In collaboration with the Mercado Internacional de Cine de Las Palmas, one shortlisted project from Cinema Pendent will be invited to take part in a programme at MECAS 2024.
REC Primer Test–Cinema Pendent Prize in l’Alternativa Pro
L’Alternativa Pro, in collaboration with REC, Tarragona International Film Festival, will choose one of the shortlisted projects at the postproduction stage to take part in Primer Test.
LABED–Cinema Pendent Prize in l’Alternativa Pro
One of the projects at the rough cut stage will be selected to take part in the participate in the Laboratori d'Acompanyament Editorial de Documentals de Creació (LABED) at the BSM-Universitat Pompeu Fabra. The selected project will receive a grant of between €3,000 and €6,000 to go towards editing and audience targeting.
