Synopsis

Different voices from across Peru narrate their experience of forms of violence over more than 200 years of the nation's history. The institutional commemoration of the country’s Bicentennial buried memores of subversive political resistance. This Super 8 film brings together fighters and mourners in a compilation of discourses from deep inside Peru's recent history.

Biography and Films

Colectivo Silencio is made up of young artists and activists who come from and work in different cities in Peru. Their collaborative work emerged from discussions on political cinema, enriched by their diverse identities and geographical backgrounds. El polvo ya no nubla nuestros ojos is their first film.
