When it shrinks, it expands. It floats and it sinks. It separates but connects. When I think I’m watching them, they’re actually watching me. A rollicking, exuberant collection of animation sequences reminiscent of children’s drawings with a chaotic soundtrack and babble of voices that weaves together many days of observing, recording, and experimenting.
Yoko Yuki (Aichi, Japan, 1987) is an artist and filmmaker currently based in Tokyo. She has loved painting and playing with video cameras since childhood and finds animation great fun. Her video art and painting in a variety of materials are inspired by everyday events. Her latest work, Mini-Mini-Pokke no Okina Niwa de, was inspired by her picture diary.
