Y arquitectura un sueño de palmera

Synopsis

In Soria, in the middle of an arid landscape, stands the Mozarabic church of San Baudelio; in Madrid, an exhibition room in the Prado Museum houses paintings taken from the church; in Burgo de Osma, a spa replicates those paintings and the  church interior. They all feature a square floor plan and a central pillar that expands like a palm tree. Can a hermitage and  a spa play the same role in different societies?

Biography and Films

Patxi Burillo Nuin studied architecture at the University of Navarra and did a postgraduate degree in creative filmmaking at Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola. In 2020 he teamed up with Javier Sáez and Ignacio Ruiz de Erenchun to work on architure proejcts, while also developing several film projects of his own. He collaborates regularly with EQZE and runs a monthly programme at the Filmoteca de Navarra.
