Ruinas futuras

Synopsis

Many years ago, a group of friends supposedly hid a time capsule in their university hall of residence. As a new generation searches for opens it, their rooms echo with dating hints, an uncertain future, tarot readings and other musings. Soon these rooms will no longer be theirs either.

Biography and Films

Elvira Arbós, Francisco Armenteros, Ran Chen and Carolina Sánchez met at the Escuela de Cinematografía y del Audiovisual in Madrid, where they were all studying documentary making. They soon became firm friends and decided to team up for their final project. In Ruinas futuras, they explore their own fears about the future, the passage of time and the appeal of objects filled with memories to create a generational portrait and a reflection of themselves.
