Ella i jo

Hall

Synopsis

Two artists, Queralt and Gemma, live in distant cities: Barcelona and Athens. A mother and a daughter, who has recently become a mother of her own. One calls the other on the phone, but there is no reply. The film studies them at a distance, illuminating their surroundings: their daily work on paintings, the light falling in their spaces, readings by the window. Based on the paintings of Roser Agell and Paulina Muxart Agell, Ella i jo is a study of the textures, bodies and colours that make up the universe of two women roughly separated.
