Synopsis
The world is alive, but without mirrors and images would any of it exist? The blind create images in a different way, using sounds, textures and experiences. They are on the other side of the mirror.
Biography and Films
Yunyi Zhu is a Chinese artist who graduated from Tsinghua University in sculpture before studying at Le Fresnoy. His artistic practice questions memory and perception and draws on people’s personal experience through of senses often underexploited in the field of art, such as touch. His films include Tout ce qui était proche s’éloigne (2021) and De songes au songe d’un autre miroir (2022).
