Synopsis

On the outskirts of Madrid, three displaced people are connected by the city’s ring roads, which all bear the letter "M". Pedro (M-30) has just lost his wife and fellow taxi driver; Javi (M-40) has purchased a plot of land with the intention of securing a better future for himself and his loved ones, far away from here; and Marimar (M-50) is in need of a dance partner for the bachata competition this weekend.

Biography and Films

Born on the outskirts of Madrid, where he still lives, Iván Blanco begins his career at the age of 22 by writing and directing the short film Ropa sucia (2018), which already featured hints of his trademarks: freely experimenting with nonformal film languages, using different audiovisual formats, working with nonactors and offering a fresh and highly personal perspective on everyday life in Spain.
