Synopsis
Don Quixote collector and enthusiast Juan has spent years trying to open a museum dedicated to his collection but is repeatedly rebuffed by the town authorities. So Juan invents a story that the famous book may in fact have been written in his own house. Thanks to his persuasive skills, people start begin to believe him and Juan and his collection soon become celebrities.
Biography and Films
Luis Muñoz Cubillo, alias Soto, (Baena, 2000) has made the medium-length film El cuento del limonero (2020) and the feature films Sueños y pan (2023) and Los restos del pasar (2023), codirected with Alfredo Picazo. He is interested in decentralised production models and tends to set his films in rural settings as an escape from urban clamour.
