Synopsis

A mosaic portrait of a funeral home through the people who work there and an exploration of the surreal side to modern-day death.

Biography and Films

Marta Sellart Combalía is a philologist who graduated in audiovisual communication and did a master's degree in literary journalism. She has coordinated several cultural projects at the CCCB. In parallel to the documentary Cuando tú no estás, she is currently working on a literary project of the same name based on the her process into the the creeping corporatisation of the funeral process.

Pol Picas Hervàs studied film at ESCAC and specialised in documentary. He has worked as a director, editor, sound engineer and cinematographer at ESCAC Films and Nanouk Films productions. He codirected the documentary features La Passió segons Pep Amores (Morris Films, 2021) and El tiempo después de la lluvia (Alhena Films, 2021).
