Camionero

Synopsis

Camionero is a road movie without a road, a film about what happens when truck drivers turn off their engines and take a break. A series of brief encounters between truckers and others in places of passage and pauses between bodies. Fleeting characters share a strange dimension in time, after halting by the side of the road while everything around them moves on.

Biography and Films

Francisco Marise is an Argentinian filmmaker who lives in Spain. He wrote, shot, directed and edited Para la guerra, his debut film, which premiered in the New Directors section at the 2018 San Sebastián Film Festival. He is currently writing Camionero, winner of Best Project at the 10th Europe–Latin American Coproduction Forum at the 2021 San Sebastián Film Festival.
