Synopsis

My mother and I spent August 2022 taking photographs of ourselves, each other and the scenery around the family’s house in the countryside with a Super 8 camera to build up a shared portrait.

In the final result, these spaces somehow blend together, similar to the relationship that brings us closer, a reflection in the mirror of what seems to be happening.

Biography and Films

Sofía Tudela (Jaén, Spain, 1996) is an artist whose creative sphere blends audiovisual media with contemporary art practices. Her interests explore autobiographical details and the presence of the body in space, understood anding it as a "repository" of gestures marked by the particularities of each territory. She is currently working on analogue audiovisual pieces.
