Dildotectónica

Synopsis

In this day and age, Rebeca attempts to create a collection of non-phallic ceramic dildos. Meanwhile, further back in time, during the Inquisition, a dildo emerges from Rebecca and Maria’s forbidden relationship. It isn’t long before Rebeca and Josefa’s timelines begin to cross. Dildotectónica gives free rein to a search for pleasure unencumbered by normative constraints.

Biography and Films

Tomás Paula Marques (Porto, 1994) is a visual artist from Portugal who studied directing and cinematography at the Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema in Lisbon and a postgraduate degree in sociology at the city’s ISCTE University, before doing a master's degree in filmmaking at Elias Querejeta Zine Eskola, where Dildotectónica was made. Their other films include In Case of Fire (2019), Blind Man's Bluff (2021) and When the Dead Awaken (2022).
