Un viento roza tu puerta
Jorge Castrillo
In 2016 we visited the Filmoteca Española in search of information on Rocío, a documentary directed by Fernando Ruiz Vergara that had been censored in the early 1980s. Its storerooms revealed 260 rolls of 16 mm negative film containing outtakes from the film, footage that had ended up on the cutting room floor. Discarded images from a banned film come to life on screen after forty years in the dark.
Concha Barquero and Alejandro Alvarado (Málaga,1975) are filmmakers, teachers and researchers who teamed up 2001. Their shorts and features in the field of creative documentary include Pepe el andaluz (2012), which premiered at the Festival Internacional de Cine de Mar del Plata and won awards at DocumentaMadrid and Málaga Film Festival.
