A dwindling volcano, an owl’s secret passageway and a dead-end tunnel are some of the exhibits in this private collection of films on darkness. Director Oskar Alegria invited filmmakers from all over the world to make a short film exploring the shadows and mysteries of the dark—and here they all are together. Who ever said filmmaking was all about light?

Oskar Alegria (Pamplona, 1973) lectures for the MA in audiovisual screenwriting at the University of Navarre and is artistic director of Punto de Vista festival. He was voted one of the ten most promising Spanish filmmakers by Variety magazine and his first feature, La casa Emak Bakia, has been screened at over 70 festivals.

The Darkness Collection is one of the feature films selected for l'Alternativa Panorama.

Special sessions are not included as part of the festival pass or festival accreditation.
