Dreams

“We are made of dreams, and dreams are made of us. It is always fine, my love, in dreams, words and death.”

— Ferdinand in Jean-Luc Godard’s Pierrot le fou (inspired by the poem “Seconde lettre à Fougère”, in Louis Aragon’s La Mise à mort)

Inspired by the film Le jour a vaincu la nuit, by Jean-Gabriel Périot, who is the subject of a parallel section this year, we have given over a whole evening at l’Alternativa Hall to the world of dreams.

Dreams. (H)all about Dreams 13/11 (105’) - 5.30 pm

We’ve selected our favourite short short films from all the entries received. Now it’s up to the audience to pick the winner! One lucky filmmaker will walk away with two festival passes.

While we’re counting the votes, we’ll screen Le jour a vaincu la nuit to help make the wait that much more bearable.

Dreams. Short Films A 13/11 (60’) - 7.15 pm

Five pieces from between somewhere between waking and dreaming. Half-open doors letting flights of fancy slip out to feed on reality.

Dreams. Short Films B 13/11 (45’) - 8.15 pm

Four pieces from between somewhere between waking and dreaming. Half-open doors letting flights of fancy slip out to feed on reality.

Dreams. Bosque 13/11 (105’) - 9 pm

Bosque is a double-device performance piece offering a gateway to film, drawing and music. The creative space is revealed as a site for rituals, actively created from beginning to end.

Sergio Piña, Marc Raventós, Ricard Marcet and Rafa Castañer invite you to a highly evocative celebration you’re unlikely to forget in a while.
