Festival Guidelines to Help Stem the Spread of Covid-19

The Barcelona Independent Film Festival, l’Alternativa, has set out a series of guidelines and recommendations to help stem the spread of SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) at onsite events during this year's festival.

These guidelines and recommendations will be in force at all festival activities and apply to guests and staff as well as to the general public.

MEASURES TAKEN BY THE FESTIVAL

In accordance with current public health guidelines, l’Alternativa 2021 has taken the following steps to help stem the spread of Covid-19:

  • Guidelines and recommendations are clearly posted in all spaces.
  • All spaces are thoroughly ventilated before and after all events.
  • Hand sanitiser dispensers are available at the entrance to all spaces.
  • Seating is arranged in accordance with current guidelines on keeping people a safe distance apart.
  • Accreditation and tickets for all events will be issued to a named ticket holder and may not be used by anyone else.
  • Spectators and participants will enter and leave all spaces in staggered groups to ensure they remain a safe distance from one another. Some one-way systems are in place.
  • No printed matter will be made available to the public. Full information will be available on the website.

  • Keep at least 1.5 m (6 ft) away from any other person and steer well clear of any crowds.
  • Wear a face covering at all times in all indoor spaces, as well as in all outdoor spaces where you cannot keep at least 1.5 m (6 ft) away from any other person. Under-6s are exempt.
  • Scrub your hands thoroughly with soap and water or hand sanitiser before and after all events and screenings.
  • Do not bring food or drink onto any onsite event or screening.
  • You must have a ticket to gain access to any event or screening.
  • Do not meddle with the seating arrangements in any of the spaces at the festival.
  • Follow all signs and heed any instructions given by festival staff.

These measures apply to all festival venues, which may also have their own additional requirements in place.
