L'Alternativa is held at four different city venues on a handy, well-connected circuit.

Barcelona Centre for Contemporary Culture (CCCB)
Montalegre, 5 (Metro L1 Universitat & L3 Pl. Catalunya)
The main festival venue screens the Official Sections and Parallel Sections, Hall Screen and Film Schools sessions and hosts the Parallel Activities, Film School seminars and the IFN professional conference, as well as putting on the opening and closing parties.

Maldà cinema
Pi, 5 (Metro L1 & L3 Pl. Catalunya)
This cinema screens the Official Sections and Parallel Sections.

French Institute
Moia, 8 (Metro L3 & L5 Diagonal; FGC Provença)
The auditorium here will screen part of the Alain Cavalier section.

Casa Amèrica Catalunya
Córcega, 299 (Metro L3 & L5 Diagonal; FGC Provença)
The auditorium here will screen the part of the Argentinean Documentary parallel section.
