The Film Schools of the World section offers a series of seminars aimed at young creators, film students and industry professionals. These complementary education and training activities provide a thought-provoking space for meeting and debate open to everyone in a constantly changing age.

Digital and experimental arts: mapping + DJ que baila
Mad Center will be responsible for opening the 18th edition of l'Alternativa by presenting a mapping by students on the Resolume course using the IR Mapio application, for which it is an Official Teaching Centre in Catalonia.

Politics of the imagination: political documentary 2.0
The idea is to take action by rethinking political documentary by using the strength provided by the discoveries made. In the current dramatic political situation, making documentaries is not so much about mobilising people as fostering a critical spirit.

The adventure of filming in China: production processes abroad
In the summer of 2009, first-year students Oriol Martínez and Chi-Shin Hou filmed their first project in China. The result was Ahong, a short film selected for the Official Section at Sitges Film Festival.

Digital and experimental arts: vj session
The Convent de Sant Agustí Cultural Centre specialises in promoting emerging art. Course teacher Xarlene, a member of the G108 Collective, comes up with and creates ideas in real time, using her photographic eye to produce evocative scenes and atmospheres.
