Official Sections
In the Official Sections, l'Alternativa aims to showcase a representative selection of independent films from the last two years. We've selected fifty-one films from all over the world, and our goal is to promote new directors and little-known films from the current audiovisual scene.
The selected films compete in three sections:
- Fiction Feature
- Documentary Feature
- Short Films (fiction, animation and documentary)
This year there is €12,500 in cash prizes in total, divided between the different competition sections: €6000 for Best Fiction Feature Film, €4000 for Best Documentary Feature Film and €2500 for Best Short Film. In addition, festivalgoers will vote for the Audience Award for Best Short Film.
