Sinopsis

Four friends - played by the four directors - recently lost a fifth friend. After a night of heavy drinking they decide to travel to the mythical Ythaca, the hometown of the dead friend. As the journey progresses, they don’t seem to be looking for a real place, but something that has been with them since the beginning of the film, something that involves friendship, silence, discovery and Cinema. Estrada a Ythaca is a unique film with a very free form, deliberately avoiding the constraints of a finished piece and emphasising the erratic as an aesthetic plan.

 
Bio / Filmo

Guto Parente (Fortaleza, 1983) directed the short films Cruzamento (2007), Espuma e Osso (2007), Passos no Silêncio (2008) and Flash Happy Society (2009). Luiz Pretti and Ricardo Pretti (Rio de Janeiro, 1982) directed the short films Sabiaguaba (2006), Cartaz (2007), Longa Vida ao Cinema Cearense (2008) and the feature film Rumo (2009). Pedro Diógenes (Fortaleza, 1984) directed the short films Cruzamento (2007), Ficamos felizes com sua marcante presença nesse momento tão especial de nossas vidas (2008), Miúdos (2008) and Vistamar (2009).
