Sinopsis

Comprised entirely of found 16mm footage that had been discarded, The Darkness of Day is a meditation on suicide. The sadness, the isolation, and the desire to escape are recorded on film in various contexts.

 
Bio / Filmo

Jay Rosenblatt has been making films since 1980. He has had retrospectives of his work at the Denver International Film Festival, IMPAKT in the Netherlands, the Brussels Film Museum, the São Paulo International Short Film Festival and at the MoMA in New York. He has a Master's degree in counselling psychology and, in a former life, spent many years working as a therapist.
