  • Tempestad (Tatiana Huezo)

Two women’s voices echo across the landscape and highways of Mexico, from north to south, as they tell of how official corruption and injustice has allowed violence to take control of their lives, desires and dreams. A subjective, emotional and evocative journey, steeped not only in loss, pain and the paralysing power of fear, but also in love, dignity and resistance. The women’s mirror-like journeys reflect the impact of the violence and impunity that afflicts Mexico.

Tatiana Huezo (El Salvador, 1970) graduated from the CCC in Mexico City and Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. She has taught at the CCC and the ECAM in Madrid. Her debut film, El lugar más pequeño, played at l'Alternativa 2011 and travelled to over 50 film festivals worldwide.
