Synopsis
Fragmented records reveal a concealed history of Cold War–era human radiation experiments, surfacing through a haze of manipulation and embedded studies. Desert dust settles into teeth, inscribing a residual record. Contaminated images conjure the unseen.
Biography and Films
Sam Drake (Ohio, 1989) is a filmmaker whose work has screened at film festivals and venues including The Museum of Modern Art, International Film Festival Rotterdam, Media City Film Festival, The Museum of the Moving Image, Open City Documentary Festival, European Media Art Festival, Edinburgh International Film Festival, Antimatter and EXiS. She lives in Milwaukee, where she teaches and programmes at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She has programmed for the Union Cinema and Mini Microcinema.
