Synopsis
A misty afternoon returns a Mapuche couple to their wedding video. In their civil ceremony, they are noted as one of only two couples married in the indigenous language of Mapudungun.
Biography and Films
Fernando Saldivia Yáñez (Chile, 1997) is a filmmaker based between Puerto Williams, Chile, and Chicago. His practice uses intimate observations to explore the politics of the quotidian. His work has been shown at a number of festivals, including the Chicago International Film Festival, Big Sky Documentary Film Festival, Santiago International Film Festival and Cine Lebu. His latest feature film, Brief Space of a Time, received the Vox Populi award at the 62nd Ann Arbor Film Festival.
