Cecilia Araneda (Chile, 1970) is a Chilean–Canadian filmmaker and curator. Her work has been screened at festivals and venues such as Rotterdam, Visions du Reél, Ann Arbor, Ji:hlava, Uppsala and TIFF Wavelengths. Aesthetically, her art practice is strongly rooted in the examination of private and public memory as it connects to identity and works consciously against the idea of the fully controlled image.
