La balandra

Synopsis

A letter drifts to the shores of the Río de la Plata. On land, messages turn to tragedy in a small fishing village whose life is shaken by a murder. Documentary and crime genres merge to create this story of love and intrigue.

Biography and Films

Matías Lima (La Plata, 1998) is a filmmaker who trained at the Universidad del Cine and the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella. He is cofounder of the production company Sinroncar Cine. Since 2016, he has been involved in the development of various film projects and has directed three short films: La tierra inestables (2018), Impresiones de un paseo de verano (2020) and La balandra (2024). His work has been featured at international festivals including FICValdivia, Festifreak, FICIC and Punto de Vista.
