Tax Breaks: Law, Treasury and Filmmaking

Among the range of tools available to finance audiovisual productions, tax deductions have become a key resource for both large-scale projects and short films. However, although investors and producers can benefit from these structures, the real risk lies almost entirely with the producer.

This talk opens a dialogue on how tax deductions work and examines the potential risks and implications these may entail with the Treasury if certain conditions are not met, as well as offering a practical view on how to plan and manage these fiscal incentives safely and securely.

The session will be presented by Àlex Pi, director of the Àrea de Desenvolupament Empresarial (ADTE) at ICEC and will feature three expert speakers.
