Do Producers Dream of Intelligent Automation?
Artificial intelligence is transforming the very ways we create, produce and share cinema. The 16th Industry Day at l’Alternativa PRO invites us to reflect on its role in accessibility, multilingualism and cultural diversity, as well as in innovation within the audiovisual industry.
We shall discover how technology can simplify the management of audiovisual projects, from organising tasks and budgets to planning resources, and see how some tools can save time and energy, allowing teams to focus on creativity, broadening horizons without losing the human and creative perspective that defines independent cinema.

10.30 to 11.30 am: Preproduction 2.0
Filmustage was founded in 2020 by filmmakers and developers who, after working on productions for platforms such as Netflix and Amazon, sought to transform film preproduction. Its AI platform automates tasks such as script breakdowns, shoot scheduling and budget management, freeing up time and energy so that filmmakers can focus on creativity. More than just a technical tool, Filmustage is an ally accompanying creators through every project, helping them stay in control, optimise resources and turn ideas into films more efficiently, clearly and accessibly.
Led by Anastasiya Kudruk, Marketing Director at Filmustage
This talk will be given in English.
11.30 am to 12.15 pm: Simplifying Management
Holded is a business management platform founded in Spain in 2012 designed to help SMEs and creative teams simplify and automate administrative and accounting tasks. Since its creation, it has evolved to offer tools that cover invoicing, expense control, project planning and resource tracking, all from a single platform. More than software, Holded presents itself as an ally that saves time and energy, allowing professionals to focus on the creative and strategic while maintaining full control and a global vision of their projects.

12.30 to 2 pm: Panel Discussion. AI, Multilingualism and Accessibility in European Audiovisuals: Challenges and Opportunities from Catalonia
We will explore how artificial intelligence is transforming the European audiovisual landscape, particularly in multilingual and culturally diverse contexts such as Catalonia. The discussion will examine the opportunities and challenges that AI presents in accessibility, linguistic and cultural diversity, and in audiovisual production and industry, offering a practical view on how to integrate innovation into the daily work of filmmakers, producers and festivals. A space for debate, reflection and the exchange of experiences on the future of the sector, combining institutional, creative and technical perspectives.
Among the participants will be Francesc Mas (project engineer at CCMA), Pilar Orero (PhD at the UAB and member of the TransMedia Catalonia Lab group), Guim Bonaventura i Bou (coordinator of Catalunya Film Festivals) and Miquel Romans (member of Productors Audiovisuals de Catalunya and producer at Principal Segona), as well as representatives of user associations, moderated by Adriana Pérez Villa (journalist and director of the Inclús - Festival Internacional de Cine y Discapacidad de Barcelona). Each panellist will offer their own unique perspective on the impact of AI within the audiovisual industry.
There will be a Catalan Sign Language (LSC) interpreter on hand.
