Talk + Screening + Q&A + Concert
An evening all about accessibility, film and music, exploring new, more inclusive ways of creating films for all kinds of audiences.
Accessibility in film is not a technical matter but a way of rethinking how we communicate, see and share stories. It means opening up our audiovisual language to different sensibilities and creating spaces where image, sound and emotion can be experienced in multiple ways.
As Aventuras do Angosat is a short film shot in Angola that combines humour, sensitivity and reflection to explore communication and sensory diversity through a poetic lens. It mirrors the reality of a creative team made up of people with different disabilities. This diversity is a driving force behind the film’s creation: each member brings their own perspective and sensibility, influencing how the story is conceived, its rhythm, performances and on-set collaboration. The film reveals how including people with varied abilities transforms the creative process, encouraging innovative solutions and fostering an inclusive working environment and builds a narrative grounded in attentive listening.
Thanks to the collaboration of Acció Cinema, the Catalan Agency for Development Cooperation and Inclús – the Barcelona International Disability Film Festival, the audience will have the opportunity to talk to members of the film’s cast and crew, while enjoying a drink at the bar, and to share the creative processes and ideas that shape their unique universe of ideas.
The evening will conclude with a live concert by leading actor Isis Hembe, with Adé Da Costa on guitar and Resem Vekron, codirector of the film, on backing tracks — a unique opportunity for the audience to share in the film’s emotions in a spirit of collective gathering and celebration.
