Participatory Bodies

Each year l’Alternativa Hall crafts a changing cartography woven from shared resonances, gestures and perspectives. It is a space where the collective becomes a plural voice that brings us together in a collaborative exercise in encounter and mutual learning. Through open calls and joint initiatives, Hall invites everyone to take part and to relish the possibilities of our common endeavour.

This year our Call for Short Shorts challenges us to discover how writing can push the limits of language while celebrating the power of the image. A revamped Open Screening returns to invite us to capture neighbourhood life through its spaces, images and everyday sounds.

One of this year’s new highlights the launch of the Fresh Takes section, which aims to shine a light on debuts by emerging filmmakers. We are also thrilled to announce a new collaboration with CO- Festival, which champions work created using associative production and management models that open the door to bold and innovative aesthetics.

And, as always, films chosen by the official programming team inspire our much-loved Hall Selects session: a vibrant space for dialogue that extends the reach of the Official Section and enables even more films to be shared with the l’Alternativa audience.

Together these experiences weave a diverse, interactive tapestry that celebrates our shared presence in l’Alternativa Hall.
