Bodies of One's Own

This programme by l’Alternativa Hall ventures into personal spaces, opening doors to public and private realms, collective manifestations, diverse gazes and suggestive gestures to weave a connective fabric with three strands.

The first strand is a project by the Centre de Documentació Ca la Dona which repurposes archival material in a multiscreen session to help us imagine possible presents and potential futures as we articulate our lives and struggles.

The second strand is Oda butch, a multidisciplinary collaborative project celebrating butch identities led by Mariana Portela Echeverri and Lola Clavo.

The third strand, which inspires the name for the programme as a whole, is Ornella Bodratto’s curatorial project A Body of One’s Own. A collective body, a mosaic of a thousand flowing screens staging the dynamic interplay of montage and camera.
