Imagining a Soundtrack

Deisy Quevedo Díaz invites children between the ages of 6 and 10 to explore the hidden power of sound in cinema. This playful, hands-on workshop reveals how atmospheres and emotions are shaped not only by images but by the magic of sound design, including the key role played by the Foley artist.

Rooted in the idea that sound is an essential element that can transforming silent images into living, emotional experiences, participants step into the role of young sound designers. Through creativity and teamwork they bring silent film clips to life, while discovering how sound can make the invisible truly unforgettable.

Children will learn all about sound design and Foley artists as they hone their listening skills, creativity and collaboration and experience the thrill of being active protagonists in the filmmaking process.

An artistic journey of discovery that reveals how sound can open worlds, tell stories and breathe life into the silence of film.
