As Aventuras do Angosat
Screening and talk with director Marc Serena and leading actor Isis Hembe
Man Ré dreams of travelling into space. There he encounters voices that speak to him: hopes, fears, television presenters... Everything goes well until his spacecraft breaks down and he realises he is all alone.
Catalan director and journalist Marc Serena presents As Aventuras do Angosat, a short film that blends music, poetry and science fiction to explore dreams, identity and inclusion.
Filmed in the Cazenga neighbourhood of Luanda, Angola, with a cast made up of differently abled actors, it is a celebration of the transformative power of film as a space for collective encounter.
After the screening, the audience will have the opportunity to talk with the director and the leading actor, here in person from Angola, to discover how this remarkable film that blurs the boundaries between reality and imagination was conceived and shot.
