Transforming Bodies

All bodies are constantly transforming, within and without norms, legalities and visibilities. They are shaped by the structures they inhabit, by their limitations, determinants and identities. However, there are bodies whose transformation transcends the reality around them in favour of heightened expressiveness, identity, existence and, in many cases, the pure drive to survive. These bodies are teachers, linking their depths with those open to seeing and learning. Within these bodies resides an ancient wisdom that sees far and wide, eager to educate.

The Entrañas project has curated a session to spark reflection and dialogue about notions of belonging in relation to the body and territory. A direct challenge to power structures, their systems of oppression and potential strategies of resistance.

And Col·lectiu 1080 brings us a trilogy by Pol Merchan that invites us to explore the performative power of trans subjectivity and queer cinema as we travel through intersex, subversive, colourful, transgressive universes and discover the spectrum of experiences, adventures and transformations that have made up this journey to the here and now.
