Synopsis

A female voice reads an email written by a young woman to another, without allowing us to know whether the voice belongs to the sender or the recipient of the message. As her words trace a path through the peripheral and hidden details of certain paintings at the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum, the voice multiplies into others, evoking possible connections between the production conditions of these works and the social, economic and psychological conditions endured by artists of the past as well as the present.

Biography and Films

Jorge Moneo Quintana (Vitoria-Gasteiz, 1988) holds a degree in Fine Arts (EHU-UPV) and an MA in Theory and Practice of Creative Documentary (UAB). He has directed films such as Orbainak and In Ictu Oculi and taken part in prestigious programs like IDFAcademy and Berlinale Talents. In addtion to appearing in various exhibitions, his work has been screened at a number of international festivals including DOK Leipzig, IDFA, Punto de Vista, Festival de Málaga, Tirana International Film Festival, l’Alternativa, Oberhausen and Filmadrid.
