El jardín del lago

Synopsis

The days slip by as I watch the trails of clouds drift away against a backdrop of desolate buildings. On the horizon, I hear the sound of that mountain lake. As I walk along the path or the grey pavements, a sudden vision of that garden resonates deep inside.

Biography and Films

Horacio Torruco is a filmmaker, poet and photographer. He studied for a degree in Visual Arts for Photographic Expression at the University of Guadalajara (Mexico). His films have been shown at festivals such as ULTRAcinema: Experimental Cinema (Mexico City), Mientras Tanto Cine (Uruguay, 2022) and the Radical Film Festival (Bolivia). In 2023 he curated and organised various independent film exhibitions in Guadalajara.
