¿Dónde está Marie Anne?

Synopsis

Surrounded by a world that promises the perfect life, Marie Anne resolves to escape. At that moment, she vanishes without a trace. A found-footage film created from adverts from the period 1976–1983 recovered by the Buenos Aires Film Museum.

Biography and Films

Yaela Gottlieb is a Peruvian director, curator and teacher. She studied Film at the Universidad del Cine Buenos Aires, and after living for 10 years in Argentina, she moved to Germany thanks to a scholarship from the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD). Her work explores photography, film and video through montages that convey emotions in tension with fiction. She has curated special programmes at cultural centres and museums in Spain, Peru and Argentina. In 2021 she premiered her first film, No hay regreso a casa.
