Synopsis

Thais (Elena Jordi, 1918) was the first film directed by a woman in Spain. Unfortunately, no copy has ever been found—until now it was missing. This short film conjures it up speculatively by imagining what it might have been like.

Biography and Films

Marga Almirall is a filmmaker, editor and specialist in teaching about images from a feminist perspective at Drac Màgic. She is currently training in film archiving at the Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola. She has made several short films and video essays.
