Synopsis
Romania in the late 1970s. Zahra and Maria form a close bond while studying medicine together at university. But when Zahra senses a wind of change from her homeland, she quits university and returns to Tehran. Over the following decade, the two friends correspond and report on their daily lives as women fighting to have their voice heard in rapidly diverging countries.
Made entirely out of archive material, Între revoluții blurs the lines between documentary and fiction to explore the collapse of political systems in Iran and Romania.
