Synopsis
More than two decades after the tragic death of his brother, director Christians Einshøj's family is falling apart. Armed with thirty years of home videos, he attempts to face up to the deep hidden wounds inflicted by the tragedy and understand how what happened affected each of them.
In this keen observation of a family in crisis and thought-provoking reflection on the effects of old-school masculinity, Einshøj uses humour to create a this subtle autobiographical family portrait and explore the various ways in which we run away instead of facing what hurts and finding liberating answers.
