Synopsis

Under the burning sun, a solitary, tireless bull awaits while a man dives deep into the darkest waters of his persona, in a common attempt to defeat death. An intense short that dispenses with any soundtrack or sound design.

Bio/Filmo

Francesco Montagner (1989, Italy) studied documentary film directing at FAMU in Prague. He made his debut with Animata resistenza (2014), which he codirected, cowrote and produced and which won the Venezia Classici Award for Best Documentary on Cinema at the Venice Film Festival. His second award-winning feature documentary, Brotherhood (2021), won the Pardo d'Oro Cineasti del presente award at its premiere at the Locarno Film Festival, and Best Czech Documentary Award and Best Cinematography at the Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival.
