Synopsis

Family legend has it that before emigrating to Argentina my great-grandmother, Lucia Antonutti, made an attempt to assassinate Mussolini. My trip to Friuli to find out what really happened reveals a slippery identity shaped by migration and struggle.

Bio/Filmo

Diana Mizrahi Cengarle (Buenos Aires) is a filmmaker, photographer and journalist. As well as working closely with Drac Màgic audiovisual cooperative, she also serves works and as director of photography on short and feature films and music videos. She has worked on Laberint (Clàudia Mirambell), Les perseides (Alberto Dexeus, Ànnia Gabarró), Una altra recepta per al mateix mal (Col·lectiu Al Dente) and À Procura da Estrela (Carlos Martínez-Peñalver). Strana, her first personal project, has been screened to great acclaim at several festivals and was judged Best Pitch at MajorDocs 2021.
