Kids of Kibera and the Kidnapped Sun [provisional]

Synopsis

The Kids of Kibera are a group of children living in an orphanage in Nairobi who believe the Sun goes to sleep in the house over the horizon where they see it disappear every day. One day, though, the sun doesn’t appear. When they discover that it has been kidnapped by the mafia, who want to sell its energy, they set off on a wild adventure to rescue the Sun and restore light to the planet.

Bio/Filmo

Marina Gatell (Sabadell 1979) is the daughter of a chemical engineer and a schoolteacher. The family lived over a fancy dress and firecracker shop that gave her her first job and endless inspiration. She loved dressing up and creating stories she would then put on at school. She studied theatre and has worked as an actor since she was 17. She recently started directing the stories she writes in her spare time.
