Synopsis

In February 2018, a Facebook user accused staff at the Cardamomo tea room in Tepoztlán, México, of discriminatory and physically violent behaviour against her gay friends. Incredibly, the owner of the tearoom, the director’s sister Natalia, is still trying to find out what really happened that day.

Bio/Filmo

Silvia Rey Canudo (Murcia) is a director and producer who studied audiovisual communication at the Universidad Complutense and did an MA in Creative Documentary at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra. Her work has been screened at festivals worldwide, including as SEFF in Seville, Cinespaña in Toulouse, Alcine in Alcalá de Henares, Abycine in Albacete, FIDBA in Buenos Aires and LPA Film Festival in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. She won Best Spanish Short Award at DocumentaMadrid and Alcances and was nominated for a Goya for Best Documentary Short.
