Synopsis

José Ramón Capdevila, the last of three generations of livestock farmers, learns that his son, Raúl, is coming home after failing to find work in the city. As they start working together again on the farm, they hear the news that a vast new slaughterhouse is going to be built in the local town.
In his directorial debut, Raúl Capdevila creates a lugubrious Western in which the cowboys are beleaguered by their own family. He is the son who returns home. His film, a living testament to the generations who worked this land, a loving letter of farewell to a vanishing age, replaced by new technologies and industrial progress in a society where everything seems to have an expiry date.
