Synopsis

A 4-year-old girl somewhere in the Spanish Basque Country. She is in a foreign land. And this is precisely the moment when she begins to name the world.

Bio/Filmo

Zahra Vargas (1980, Switzerland) studied film directing at the Haute école d'art et design in Geneva and film photography at SICA in Buenos Aires. Her graduation film, La Fin d'Homère (2015), has been screened at festivals across Europe and won the Megaherz Student Award at DOK.fest München in 2016. She worked as a language coach for nonprofessional actors on Andreas Fontana’s feature Azor (Berlinale, 2021). She has just completed a Master's Degree at Filmmaking at EQZE Film School.
