Synopsis
El idioma de la ruina explores the creative process employed by actor Enrique Bustos, from La Zarandas theatre company, to develop a new character, paralleling the process of creating the film itself and setting up a game of mirrors and insightful dialogues between actor and director—a couple in real life—on the intangible endeavour of creating something out of nothing.
Bio/Filmo
Ana Rodríguez León (Barcelona, 1981) studied filmmaking at ESCAC and moved to Madrid in 2006, where she worked as a screenwriter, video editor and filmmaker. She began making shorts and documentaries as a means of exploring the nature of images and the play of mirrors in the notion of identity. She returned to Barcelona in 2018. This is her debut feature.
